Chinese Carved (Natural Specimen) Doctor's Doll, Ming Dynasty

Origin and/or date: China, 16th-17th century . A rare and well carved Ming Dynasty doctor's model. The female figure reclines nude, one arm resting on her torso, the other behind her head, wearing boots and earrings.in recumbent position with one hand behind the head, the other demurely draped across her stomach. Facial features are delicately rendered. Warm mellow patina. On a wooden base. doll: 1.5 x 5.5 x 2 in.
